Warren Tuttle
Board President



For those familiar with the television direct response mega-hit Smart Spin, Warren Tuttle was the person behind the scenes helping to orchestrate its
overnightsuccess. Teaming with a Boston based inventor, Tuttle selected an explosive path to market. With almost 10 million units sold so far, Smart Spin
continues to be prominently featured at major retailers throughout America.

Warren also teamed to initiate the market launch of several other innovative kitchen products including MISTO, The Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer, which has sold
over 5 million units around the world to date, and The Toss and Turn Pan, one of the best selling cookware frypans in the US in 2005. Warren has also helped
numerous housewares product patent holders obtain licensing agreements with major U.S. manufacturers and has counseled many inventors who went on
to start their own small businesses. 

Currently, Warren focuses on external product development for Lifetime Brands of Garden City, New York, the world’s largest manufacturer of kitchen utensils
and a major supplier of food prep and table top products to America’s major retailers. Lifetime Brands manufactures and markets over 30,000 products under
multiple brand names including Farberware, Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart, Pedrini, Mikasa, Towle and Pfaltzgraff; introducing over 4,000 new products each year.
There is great enthusiasm looking outside the company for innovation, particularly patented new products. In the past two and one half years, Warren has
initiated twenty-five new product licensing agreements with Lifetime Brands, including The Odor Absorbing Splatter Screen and Snack Tape. Look for many
more new market arrivals in 2011.

Prior to developing and marketing products for the housewares industry, Warren owned 5 of his own gourmet specialty kitchenware stores (The Complete
Kitchen of Southern CT), a prepared food and catering business (The Good Food Store of Darien, CT), a nationally recognized cooking school and a
partnership in a kitchen design business. Food and Wine magazine once described The Complete Kitchen as “one of the finest gourmet stores in America.”
Warren began his career as a department store buyer of cookware and small appliances in New York City (Abraham and Straus of Brooklyn, NY). 

Additionally, Warren serves as the President of the United Inventors Association, a national non-profit dedicated to educating aspiring inventors, patent
holders and product developers. He speaks regularly around the country on licensing and open innovation at Inventor Clubs and industry trade shows.      

He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and three daughters.

Deb Hess
Treasurer

Currently serving as the Program Director of the Minnesota Inventors Congress (MIC), Deb learned a great deal about the world of inventing while serving
as an active volunteer on the Board of Directors, for over 20 years, before becoming the lead staff for the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. She uses her
marketing and management experience to educate inventors about how successful inventors develop marketable products. She is known for the passion
she expresses when helping aspiring inventors learn how to make important business decisions regarding their new business ventures. As the coordinator
of their annual Invention Expo, she believes the three most important benefits of participating in the expo are networking, the knowledge gleaned from the
Inventing Success™ Workshops and the opportunity for inventors to test market their latest products. She has been supporting independent inventors and
involved in the coordination of the MIC Inventing Success™ Workshops for 30 years. She is a certified trainer, coach and facilitator in fostering the creative
and innovative spirit in entrepreneurs. She currently serves as a board member and Treasurer for the national organization for inventors, the United
Inventors Association.

Deb Hess is invited to speak to inventors, students, intellectual property law students, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and others. On an international level,
she has served as a juror for World Cup of Computer Implemented Inventions in Taipei, Taiwan and as the US Representative for the Global Sustainability
Conference
in Bangkok, Thailand.

The co-owner of a micro enterprise for over 25 years, Deb is responsible for the marketing and accounting functions of the family business. Having served
as an elected official for Redwood County, she is well versed in consensus building skills and public policy
.

Trevor Lambert
Past Treasurer

Trevor is the President and founder of Lambert & Lambert, Inc., one of the leading invention agencies involved in licensing and technology transfer.  An inventor
himself, after seeing deficiencies in the business model of existing invention service providers, Trevor established the company in 2001 with the goal of
providing inventors with improved transparency by working on a commission basis (or contingency).

In 2009, Trevor founded a design and engineering firm called Enhance Product Development, Inc. that specializes in providing inventors with tailored services
for both licensing or manufacturing and distribution.  Enhance provides turnkey services for inventors from industrial design, prototyping to domestic or
overseas manufacturing sourcing.  There is even design packages specifically developed for inventors seeking to license their inventions.

Over the years Trevor has been chiefly responsible for developing and licensing products that are now in stores such as Walmart, Target, Lowes, Bed Bath &
Beyond, Home Depot, ToysRUs and many more; generating for his clients royalties in the millions of dollars.  Products range from direct response television
(infomercial) to industrial products currently being commercialized by John Deere.

Rob Greenspoon
Board Member

Rob is a founding member of Flachsbart & Greenspoon, LLC. As a registered patent attorney, he concentrates his practice in the litigation and trial of patent cases involving computer and electronic technologies. His cases have involved computer, computer network and
electronic technologies of the highest complexity, but also simple mechanical devices.

Rob has successfully argued numerous cases before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, including IMS Technology, Inc. v. Haas Automation, Inc., 206 F.3d 1422, 1430 (Fed. Cir. 2000), HyperPhrase Technologies LLC v. Google, Inc. (Case No. 2007-1125), 1st Technology v. Rational Enterprises (Case No. 2008-1132), and 1st Media v. Electronic Arts (Case No. 2010-1435). He served in 1995-1996 as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brian Barnett Duff of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

His firm has filed friend-of-the-court briefs in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for our clients, to advocate for their interests on issues of national importance.

Scott Hynd
Board Member
Scott is a Founding Partner of Brand Innovations, a Philadelphia-based product representation firm that 
specializes in Direct Response Television and product promotion.  Scott appears regularly as an on-air 
product expert both on QVC and in infomercials. Over the past decade, he has presented over 250 different 
products on national television, totaling thousands of appearances and well over a quarter of a billion 
dollars in retail sales. 

Additionally, he has served as a spokesperson for numerous products and events in all forms of media,
both nationally and internationally, and has served as a speaker, panelist, and judge at national tradeshows 
and inventor workshops across the country. Scott also serves on the Board of Directors of the United 
Inventors Association of America in Washington, D.C., a non-profit industry watchdog that oversees and helps 
regulate the invention process. 

Prior to Brand Innovations, he held executive positions with a venture capital firm that specialized in
emerging product technology as well as a consumer electronics company.  Scott is a graduate of both Clemson 
University and the Villanova University School of Law and lives in Suburban Philadelphia with his wife and 
daughter.

AJ Khubani
Board Member

After growing up in New Jersey, Khubani graduated from Montclair State University in 1984. There, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in marketing and a minor in Psychology.

In 1983, AJ Khubani started Telebrands Corporation on a “shoestring” with his life-savings of $20,000. Now celebrating its 25th year, Telebrands has grown to become a recognized leader in the Direct Response Television industry with an innovative marketing strategy that has catapulted it into a multi-hundred million dollar business.

Telebrands specializes in the design, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of innovative consumer products. Utilizing direct response marketing to build rapid brand awareness Khubani was able to get his products placed into almost every major retailer in the country including chains like Wal-Mart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and Walgreens creating the “As Seen On TV” category at retail. His most recent product launch, the Ped Egg, an egg shaped product used to remove calluses from feet, is currently the number one selling product at Walgreens, even outselling Snickers candy bars.

In recognition of its success Telebrands has received a multitude of consumer and retail industry awards and in a recent media blitz, AJ Khubani has been featured in such media as New York Magazine, ABC Nightline, CNN, Dr. Phil, The Today Show, The View, CNBC, and CBS News and be sure to look for a full feature article about him on the front page of the Sunday Bergen Record a week from Sunday on May 4th. He has been named as one of the “25 Most Influential People in DRTV” by Response magazine, has been highlighted as one of the “Most Prominent New Jersey Business Leaders” by New Jersey Biz.

In his spare time, AJ acts as a Trustee at the Dwight Englewood School, sits on the Business Advisory Board of the Business School at Montclair and Chairs the Entrepreneurial Engineering program at Princeton University.

Michael Miller
Board Member

As Director of Product Partnerships for NCH Corporation, Michael Miller leads  a cross-functional team and cross-company teams that identify and work with external partners (e.g. inventors, product-oriented companies, supply chain partners, etc.) to systemically supplement our internal product development efforts to deliver innovative, consumer solutions for our customers.

Michael leads the Product Partnership Program for three companies within NCH corporation; Retail Products Group with a focus on pet products (Brands: OUT, Simple Solutions, Vets Best, Bags on Board, Totally Toddler) and Plumbing Products Group which includes Danco and LSP companies( Brands: Danco, Go Bidet, Disposal genie, MJSI, Rapid Fit, Pull stop Box, Aqua- Flo). Major Customers include: Walmart, Home Depot, Target, Lowes, Petco, ACE, Bed Bath and Beyond, QVC and HSN to name a few.

Before joining NCH in 2008, Michael was the head of Research and Development at Andover Healthcare where he led the development of the world's first cohesive elastic bandage with silver antimicrobial foam and was the Field Service and Training Manager for FEI Company, the leader in Focused Ion beam technology. He also served in the U.S. Submarine Service as a Chief Petty Officer, where he served on 4 nuclear powered submarines. He completed his service as the Research and Development Chief at Submarine Development Squadron 12 where he led R/D projects on 15 different US Submarines and one submarine from the Royal Netherlands Navy. Michael holds a BA in Business Administration from Hesser College.

Kedma Ough
Board Member

Kedma is the Small Business Development Director at Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon and a proven champion for the entrepreneurial and inventor community.  Prior to joining MHCC, Ough was the executive director of MIPO, a non-profit organization supporting inventors through training and advising for new product development. The Huffington Post has recognized Ough for fueling innovation in Oregon and Inc. Magazine cited Ough for her work in creative financing for minority-owned businesses.  She holds a Masters in Business Administration, is a graduate of the LIMA product-licensing program and writing for Entrepreneur Magazine on finding non-traditional funds.  Ough is a fifth generation entrepreneur and her great-great grandfather peddled various products throughout Ireland.

James Patterson
Board Member

James is the founding partner of the law firm Patterson Thuente IP, a full-service intellectual property boutique. As managing partner, James imposes a client-first philosophy throughout the firm, emphasizing quality work, responsiveness and teamwork.

His practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, IP portfolio management and strategy development, licensing, dispute mediation, international IP protection and development of global market-protection strateiges. James' clients are leading companies, located around the globe, in a variety of industries, including medical device, defense, electronics, plastics and mechanical equipment.

In his 25 years as a patent lawyer, he still enjoys the challenge of patenting ideas that are twists on everyday products. He also gains tremendous satisfaction from providing access to justice for the disadvantaged and have been committed to providing pro bono legal services for more than 20 years.

Former Senior Marketing Director at AT&T Wireless, managing 4 million customers and $2.2B in sales. BA in Finance from West Virginia University & MA in Management from Carnegie Mellon.
